TRAINING
Avalon Horses offers training to a limited number of horses. This enables us to keep the quality of our training services at the highest level possible. Our focus is first on safety and the well-being of each horse.
Upon an initial evaluation with an Avalon trainer, Avalon and Owner shall strategize and agree upon a training schedule, set goals and create a timeline. Avalon specializes in working with horses exhibiting emotional and/or behavioral issues, needing physical rehabilitation and/or re-training. Each horse's program is unique to the issues they are facing and the type of riding Owner would like to do with them in the future. Ground work and manners are first and foremost with all horses in order to create a safe space for horse and Owner to enjoy their time together.
In house training rates are discounted as a service to our boarders.
Outside training available at normal rates, with additional fees for excessive travel/time.
Training may include (depending on needs of horse and desires of Owner) trail, obstacle trail, remote trail, trailering (for horse and/or owner), Liberty, lunging, working equitation, dressage, jumpers, 3 day eventing and gymkhana.
Avalon's goal is to help facilitate a safe, solid and secure base upon which your relationship with your horse, including fostering communication and understanding between one another, can be built. At the same time, working on increasing abilities in the type of riding that will bring you both the most pleasure.
Avalon also specializes in:
- re-training horses from one style of handeling/riding to another
- rehabilitating injured, underweight and/or under muscled horses
- reconditioning your horse inside and out

All funds raised by and through boarding of horses at our new facility goes to the care of our Herd
Depending on your tax situation, the board you pay at Avalon may be used as a charitable donation tax write off. Avalon is NOT a tax expert and DOES NOT give tax advise. Please consult with your tax professional regarding whether you can use your board payments to reduce your tax liability. Any and all payments to Avalon will be evidenced by and through a charitable donation receipt complete with our business information and EIN No.

Giant stalls for the big boys (or girls). Gives the larger horses plenty of space to stretch their legs, lay down and just generally be more comfortable, in spite of their large stature.

Solo Paddock/Pasture
Huge paddock for only your special horse(s)/herd. Fed in forage style (hay nets, slow feeders and/or track). Allows your horse(s) to wander and roam throughout the day .
Shared Paddock/Pasture
Shared pasture with like minded souls. NEW misters to help beat the heat! A herd environment inside a large pasture, allowing your horse(s) to revert to their natural states and result in a calmer, happier and healthier horse.
