Animal evacuation & rescue

Avalon Horses is proud to be a part of Rescue 999, a group of dedicated volunteers, most from military, police or firefighter backgrounds and ALL avid horsemen that drop everything to gas up, hook up and head out to evacuate animals in danger. Be it wild-fires, floods, mudslides or any other disaster, Avalon Horses & Rescue 999 dive straight into the fray to ensure no animal is left behind.

Members of Rescue 999, like Avalon, use their own trucks and trailers, personal funds for gas and take time off from their 9 to 5 jobs to run, not from but into the fires, flood and disaster areas. Members also ensure that evacuated and rescued animals are placed in safe environments, with the medical attention, care and feed they need, until they can return to their homes safe and sound.

ANY and ALL donations are greatly appreciated so that Avalon can continue to evacuate and rescue animals in harms way. Donations will be shared with other members of the Rescue 999 evacuation team, in order to assist with gas costs and emergency equipment purchase and replacement including for medical treatment and equipment, masks, blankets, ropes, buckets and feed.
