Equine Hospice is a subject none of us wants to think about, much less discuss. Knowing that you have limited time left with your heart horse is devastating to say the least. Avalon knows that, understands that, and is here to help.

Hospice horses in Avalon's care are pampered each and every day, until it is time to hold them in our arms as they cross the rainbow bridge. Avalon has the knowledge and experience to facilitate administration of medications, pain and otherwise, as per DVM direction. Hands on loving care each and every day, including hand walks, body work and grooming, not to mention loads of hugs and kisses, ensures your horse is as comfortable as possible and that their last days are beautiful.

Avalon also has horses in their care that have lost their humans and are funded by a trust set up for their care. Some of these horses continue to enjoy trail riding but most are simply living their best lives being part of the Avalon Herd.

Equine Retirement at Avalon will give you the peace of mind knowing that your beloved horse is getting the care, love and attention they so greatly deserve. Owners are always welcome to visit and spend time at Avalon.
